Full Journal pdf1998-04-29 House Journal Page 3339 HB 245 The following, which had been moved to the bottom of the calendar (page 3337), was again before the House with a motion to advance to third reading pending: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 245(RLS) "An Act relating to the minimum sentences for assault in the fourth degree that is a crime involving domestic violence; relating to domestic violence; relating to the definition of 'crime involving domestic violence' in AS 11; relating to unlawful contact with a victim or witness; relating to rehabilitation programs for perpetrators of domestic violence; amending Rule 5(b), Alaska Rules of Criminal Procedure and Rule 404(b), Alaska Rules of Evidence; and providing for an effective date." The objection was withdrawn. There being no further objection, CSHB 245(RLS) was advanced to third reading. CSHB 245(RLS) was read the third time. Representative Brice moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting due to a conflict of interest. Objection was heard, and Representative Brice was required to vote. The question being: "Shall CSHB 245(RLS) pass the House?" Representative Ryan gave notice of reconsideration of his vote on CSHB 245(RLS)(fld H).
